Marques Garrett Scholarship Fund

The Marques Garrett Scholarship has been created to enhance the diversity of membership of Festival Singers. Marques has been a singer and featured conductor in the Festival Singers of Florida and he has proactively recruited singers who enhance our diversity. Marques delights in being a Black man, a Black composer/conductor and he engages with members of the group with a sense of expectation that beauty and meaning will be found in our diversity. “This is a tangible way that FSOF can make an impact. It's easy to say that we can sing songs about being better, doing better, and making a change. However, putting it into action is one of the most important things that we and any other organization can do. We are showing that money should not be a barrier to people joining our family.” Marques Garrett.

We can reach our goal of 10 scholarships a year if we can raise $2000, which will pay for membership and retreat fees for 10 members.
